Ernie was a kind, considerate and bright gentlemen who cared about his family, his church and his community. I cannot think of a better man, father, neighbor and banker than Ernie Aune, yet he was always humble, and self effacing.

I want to send my sincere condolences to all of the Aune Boys that Mr. Ernie loved so much. I was his and Ms. Ernestine's housekeeper for the last years of their lives and Mr. Ernie was one of the most gracious and kindest people that I have known. His home and family meant everything to him. We will surely miss his presence in our lives. May God bless each of you, Patrcia Rushing and Norma Blanton (sisters)
