I shall always remember for her quiet loving spirit. I remember asking her to give my daughter a job at Dollar General. She asked her age and I told her she would be 16 in a few days. After about a week she called me to bring my daughter in for a bond test. She hired her as soon as she turned 16. My daughter(Greta) became the first black sales associate to work at Dollar General in Water Valley, Ms. She worked all through high school and some during college. I also came in contact with her again when her son(Sammie JR) became my principal during my years teaching at Water Valley Schools. She will be missed. Everyone she met loved her. My sympathy goes out to her family
