Clair, Theresa E. (Walton) of Weston died suddenly this past Sunday, October 16, 2011, at New England Baptist Hospital after a long battle with heart disease and lung cancer. She was raised in Brighton and moved after marrying the late James “Ernie” Clair to Weston where they raised their five children.
She was a very devoted mother to her children. She is survived by her daughter, Mary T. Clair of Weymouth, her son, Joseph P. Clair and his wife Lauren of Medfield and son, Michael S. Clair and his wife Cornelia of Biddeford, ME. She was also the mother of the late James E. Clair Jr. and Mark J. Clair both of Dover. She was a loving grandmother to her nine grandchildren; James E. Clair III, Jennifer J., Christopher M., Rebecca L., Jonathan, Caroline A., Colette, Michael S. Clair Jr., and Cameron Clair.
She is the sister of the late Joseph P. Walton of Brighton, Gerard Walton and wife Mary of Brighton, and Mary Rozanski and husband Emil of Brighton. She is survived by a brother, Thomas Walton and his wife Jean of Glencoe, MN.
Family meant everything to Theresa. She was a loving aunt and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Theresa graduated from Brighton High School and attended one year of business school before becoming a full time homemaker. She was a devoted Catholic and was active in the Saint Julia’s Parish Sodality and worked in their thrift store. She was a generous humanitarian who contributed to numerous charities. Theresa was a woman who loved life and lived it to the max for all of her 83 years. She was an avid bridge player. She loved to travel, had an infectious laugh and the room came alive when she entered it. She was the hostess with the mostest and made everyone feel welcome in her home. She leaves fond memories of times spent with her to numerous friends and acquaintances. At Theresa’s request there will be no wake.
Funeral mass will be held at Good Shepherd Parish at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 134 Cochituate Rd. Wayland, MA at 11 AM on Friday, October 21, 2011. Interment at Linwood cemetery, Weston immediately following the funeral mass.
