Richard E. Garrant, age 76, formerly of 336 Bark St., Swansea. Husband of Eileen (Ferreira) Garrant. Son of the late Alfred & Eugenia (Mimeaux) Garrant. Passed away Nov. 14, 2007. Born in Fall River and a Swansea resident since 1970. He was a member of St. Louis de France Church. Before retiring, he was an Extruder Operator for Okonite Cable Co. He was a U.S.Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Besides his wife, he is survived by: l daughter, Dorie Nunes of Swansea. 2 sisters: Jeanne Garrant of Fall River & Alice King of N.Y. 2 grandchildren: Leah & Lauren Nunes. Several nieces & nephews. He was also brother of the late Doris Roppe, Frederick & Henry Garrant, & Leah Oliveira.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. on Friday at 8:30 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Louis de France Church at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery.
