I worked with Jimmy when I first became a police officer in Brookline and he taught me so much about how to talk to people. Jimmy could always diffuse a situation with his charm or a joke and went out of his way to be kind when he sensed someone needed it. I am so sorry for your loss and wish your family peace.

October 17, 2016 Dear Grogan Family - It is with great shock and surprise to learn of Jimmy's passing. We went to middle school together.. Patrick T. Campbell in Dorchester. We reconnected at the Dedham Health Complex where we shared many memories of our childhood. Jimmy was a 'happy-go-lucky' guy, always cracking jokes. Dear Mrs. Grogan, Bridget, and Patrick, I just today learned of the passing of Mr. Grogan - I am so very sorry for your loss. My memories of him will always include his infectious laugh and countless jokes. Of course I will never forget that one time he managed to get Bridget and me an invite to Joey McIntyre's house for a meet and greet, which as pre-teen fans was the greatest day of all time.
