My deepest condolences to the Barden and Shannon families. I will always remember Ann as one of my favorite teachers when I was just a little girl in Gr. 3 at the Ripley School. Ann was a loving, caring and dedicated teacher!!

Mrs. Barden was my sixth grade teacher at St. Joseph's. I thought of her often after I graduated, and I was always so happy to see her when my daughter and her grandson ended up going to school together. She was a special teacher, who left an impression on many children. God bless her, and her family. So will be missed.

Ann Barden was a kind teacher and a great friend. When the class work was completed she would at times let us attempt to entertain the class with comedy. She will be greatly missed .Thank You Ann

Ann Barden will always be remembered as a true Catholic, Teacher, Friend and Inspiration, as kind and sweet and generous as can be. She made everyone feel special and loved. She gave so much to Saint Theresa's Parishioners by training thousands of second grade children in First Penance and First Communion. God speed, Ann, straight to heaven !!!

On 8/15 I offered condolences to one of Ann's sons who was at St. John's for 9 o'clock Mass. I had buried my Mom on 7/2 and could empathize. I could not attend her services as I was away, but I did want to tell him a few things. I graduated from Our Lady's in Newton, went to Boston State, and worked in the Boston Schools for 16 yrs. I was also a BIG ND football fan since two of my brothers went there. Ann and I had some things in common. I regret not knowing her. I just read Monsignor Helmick's tribute and just wanted to again offer my condolences. Another beautiful angel is now with the Lord. My prayers and sympathy are with all of Ann's family. Sincerely, Pat Walsh/ St. Theresa's parishioner
