We were so sad to read of John's passing. He was a wonderful principal to our two boys. In addition he was an asset to the Brockton School Department. John was a kind and loving man.our thoughts are with you.

I was a young administrator in Brockton when John was principal. He always make me feel good about myself and the job I was doing. His smile and wonderful attitude to life inspired all who knew him. The students and teachers who were lucky enough to know John have memories of him to treasure. I am sorry to hear about his passing but am so happy to have know him. May his memory be a blessing to all who have know him.

To the family of Mr. Scanlon; I was a new Phys. Ed teacher at the Raymond school in 1993, when John was Principal and a wonderful man. I learned a lot from John. He always took care of, and stood behind his teachers. True leader, great guy, great educator. My sincerest condolences to his family.
