Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Menino family at this most difficult time. The City of Boston has lost its greatest advocate, not only for the city itself but for all its citizens, no matter how lowly. We at the Boston Trailer Park would not have our homes today were it not for Mayor Menino. He made it possible, through his hands-on support, for us to ultimately become the owners of the only mobile home park in Boston. Rest in peace, Mr. Mayor. You have our eternal gratitude. Boston Trailer Park Tenants Association.

To the family of the later Mayor Mennino As a citizen today state just south of Boston, from North Providence Rhode Island, I extend my deepest sympathies on the passing of this extraordinary man who surely was truly one of the greatest mayors of the city of Boston. It is very rare to find a politician of his magnitude who served many years is not only a mayor but a loving husband and father son grandfather friend and colleague. Over the 70 years of his life he did God's will and he did it well. Though after leaving office he knew he was up for a tough battle. As a servant of our Lord, he knew from above the suffering that he endured . He sent an angel from heaven and whispered; come with me as you will suffer no more. The Lord had a special place prepared for him and me now rest and in his eternal reward forever in heaven. May his soul and all the souls to the mercies of Christ rest in peace amen. May the grace of God be with you all during this most difficult time. God bless

My thoughts and prayers are reserved for Angela and family and dearest friends of Mayor Tom Menino. There is so much to be thankful for with regard to his coordination of all the parks and recreational facilities being built since 1993. He always had a hand in helping people with regard to education and enabled the schools to have the most updated computer operating systems going back to the introduction of Windows 95. I also felt much safer up on Fairmount Hill and my surroundings during Tom Menino's time frame. In short,(sorry for taking up half the page)I'm forever grateful for everything you've done.

It is so sad that the Mayor had very little time with his family and his post mayoral life. He touched my life with his no discrimination policy. As a person and public figure that had that 0 tolerance for any of it that made this Gay Man a little more comfortable and a lot more grateful that we had people like that in public office. I met him three times, at 2 gay pride parades and at the Aids action committee where I volunteered at a thanksgiving event. I thank his family especially his beautiful wife Angela who has shown so much class and who I would bet gave up a lot to share him with us.
