Michaella Walsh Libby, 20, of Hudson, died unexpectedly on Saturday , Jan 21st, at Marlboro Hospital. She was the cherished daughter of Martin and Erin (Walsh) Libby of Hudson.
Michaella was born in Framingham and raised in Hudson where she attended local schools and was a 2010 graduate of Hudson High School. Her early loves were competing in gymnastics and spending summers on the Cape. While at Hudson High School she was a honor roll student, peer mediator and a member of the cheerleading, gymnastics, track and field hockey teams. She was employed by St Mary’s Credit Union . Michaella was currently in her second year as a student at the University of Maryland. Accomplishments included Primannum Honor Society, the Alpha Omircron Pi Sorority , and Ambassador for Public Health. Her passion for helping others shone brightly in her involvement with Kids Power Tutoring and Students Helping Honduras. She will be deeply missed by her Sorority Sisters and friends at UMD.
Her brilliant smile will be missed by her loving brothers, Ben and Nick. Her bubbly personality will always be treasured by grandparents Tuck Walsh and the beloved late Estelle Walsh, and Paul and Kay Libby, her aunts and uncles: Kathy Walsh, Maureen Harris, Phil Harris, Chris and Kevin Kelly, Kate Walsh, Ann Walsh, Tom Walsh, Glenn Libby, Susan Libby, Brian Libby, Karisa Libby, and Steven and Trish Libby. She is loved and will be missed by her cousins, Nate Harris, Brie Baker, Brian and Christopher Kelly, Zach and Sam Libby, and Dallas and Kortney Libby and all the friends she touched.
Family and friends may attend a celebration of Michaella’s life to be held at the Charter Oaks Country Club, 394 Chestnut Street, Hudson, MA 01749 on Saturday, Jan 28th beginning at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Michaella may be made to the Michaealla Walsh Libby Scholarship Fund, C/O Saint Mary’s Credit Union (107396350), 439A Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
