TERIO "TED" GALO, 73, of Hingham, passed away on Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. He was a 1957 graduate of Hingham High School and then served in the U.S. Navy. Following his military service, he graduated from Wentworth Institute in Boston and for many years was a sales engineer with Electro-Swith in Weymouth. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Cohasset Golf Club and was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Mass. Golf Association. He particularly enjoyed golfing and spending time in Florida.
He is survived by Dorothy Galo and son Ted and Susan B. Acton and her daughters, Katharine and Elizabeth. Brother of Lydia DeCoste and her husband Russell, Barbara Achille and her husband Fred, Frances McInnis and her husband Marty, Dolores Johnson and her husband Kris, Joyce Baglione, Roberta Martell and her husband Dave and the late Walter Galo. Son of the late Frank and Marie Meallo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, July 7th at 1 PM at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham. Relatives and friends may attend memorial visitation at the Downing Chapel on Friday from 4-8 PM.
