Obituary

PAXTON: Helen (Najarian) Rusz, 92, of Walbridge Road, formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Pittsfield, MA died Thursday, June 13 in Golden Living Center in Worcester.

Her husband Tibor Rusz died in 1995. She leaves two sisters Anna Najarian of Worcester and Pauline Naroian and her husband Edward of Whitinsville and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by brothers Arsen and Armen Najarian and a sister Alice Foley.

Mrs. Rusz was born in Whitinsville, daughter of Harry and Dikranouhi (Jamgochian) Najarian. She was a registered nurse anesthesiologist and worked in Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, New York Hospital and Columbus Hospital in New York City. She served her country during WWII as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Nurses Corps during the Battle of the Bulge. She graduated from South High School in Worcester, Worcester State College and Brigham & Women’s Hospital School of Nursing.

At her request no funeral services are planned. Burial in Hope Cemetery, Worcester will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241. MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester, MA is directing arrangements.
