Obituary

Robert P. Rudik 52 of 5 Sumner St., died Monday January 11 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester after a long illness.

He leaves his two sons Brandon R. and Christopher J. Rudik of Spencer, his mother Jean F. (Brown) Rudik, his former wife Donna M. Rudik all of Spencer, four brothers Michael J. Rudik, Jr. and his wife Jeannie and Mark W. Rudik and his wife Donna all of Spencer, John D. Rudik of Belair, Md., and Paul S. Rudik and his wife Cheryl of Shrewsbury, his great aunt Mary Brown of Worcester and his best friend Joey Tetreault and his wife Jennifer of Spencer and several nephews and nieces. His father Michael J. Rudik, Sr. died in 2004.

Robbie was a mechanic and Vice President of M.J. Rudik & Sons in Worcester before retiring in 2007 due to illness. He was a graduate of David Prouty High School. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #118 in Spencer and a member of Mary,Queen of the Rosary Parish. He enjoyed golf, fishing and fabricating model airplanes.

The funeral will be held on Friday, January 15 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will be at a later date in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., 330 Congress St., 5th. Flr., Boston, Ma. 02210.
