David E. Newman passed away at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital on Monday, March 3, 2008 at the age of 63. Mr. Newman is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Nancy S. (Grafton) Newman, 3 children; Lisa Grafton of Holbrook and Michele and Jason Newman of Braintree and his devoted mother, Kathleen (Cunningham) Newman of Weymouth. David is also survived by 4 sisters; Carol Bastian of NJ, Judith Newman of NH, Margaret Sanders of NH and Marie Feeley of Weymouth and 2 grandchildren, Jocelyn and Trevor. He was born and grew up in Dorchester and was a long time resident of Weymouth. Mr. Newman served in the Marines during the Vietnam War. He was an independent truck driver for 18 years before becoming a Maintenance Engineer for the South Boston Postal Annex for 8 years and retired in 1987. David was a member of the Brockton DAV and the NRA. Friends and relatives are invited to the Funeral at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Friday March 7 at 11 A.M. and the visiting hours on Thursday 4 to 8 P.M.
