Marguerite (Conway) Doherty, 94, of Manchester, died August 30, 2012 at Villa Crest Retirement Center after a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on March 18, 1918 to Thomas J. and Anne (Cremen) Conway. She graduated from St. Raphael School and West High School. She lived in Manchester most of her life and at Carlyle Place in Bedford for several years.
Marguerite was a lifelong communicant of St. Raphael Church and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Catholic Medical Center Associates and Manchester Country Club.
She was predeceased by her husband, John E. Doherty in 1978, a son, Francis in 1947 and a daughter, Susan in 2011.
The family includes four children, John Doherty Jr. of Bedford, Robert Doherty and his wife, Rosemary, of Palatine, IL, Kevin Doherty and his wife, Nan, of Bedford and Barbara Doherty Dugas and her husband, Glenn, of Bow; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at St. Raphael Church, Walker Street, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford.
