Sadie Land Revels, 91, of Mystic, Georgia died Thursday, November 4, 2010, at Osceola Nursing Home in Ocilla.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Sunday, November 7, 2010, at Mystic Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Mystic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Saturday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Revels was born August 8, 1919 in Wilcox County, Georgia to the late Jessie and Lizzie Gibbs Land. She was homemaker and avid quilter who enjoyed baking cakes for her family and friends. She had lived most of her life in Mystic and was a member of the Mystic Baptist Church.
Mrs. Revels is survived by her sons: J.V. (Geneva) Revels and Glenn Revels, both of Mystic; daughter: Myra (Roger) Gray of Mystic; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, N. E. Revels, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
