Mildred T. Davis, 84, of Fitzgerald, died Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Tara Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Thunderbolt.
Funeral services will be held 4 P.M., Saturday, January 24, 2009 in the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Woeltjen officiating. Interment will follow in Irwinville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Davis was born May 18, 1924 in Irwin County to the late Henry M. and Annie Bell Grantham Tomberlin. For the past 12 years she made her home in Savannah. She was a homemaker and member of the Central United Methodist Church, the Upper Room Sunday School Class and the Fitzgerald Racquet Club.
Mrs. Davis is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; Franky & Lynda Davis of Danville; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia & Jud Henline of Savannah;; five grandchildren, Byron Braddy, Jim Crumbley, Dr. Brent Davis, Cara L. Hamby and Kristie DeDecker; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Evie Hall of Mystic, as well as, several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A. M. “Bubba” Davis, Sr.
son, A. M. “Buddy” Davis,Jr. and 2 sisters.
