David Ring, 52, of Fitzgerald, died Monday, June 11 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
Funeral services will be held 4 P.M., Wednesday, June 13, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald. Interment will follow in Old Field Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Ring was born November 25, 1954, in Ben Hill County, to Odessa Nettles Ring and the late Marvin H. Ring. He lived in the community most of his life. Mr. Ring was a Security Enforcement Officer for Parker Security Investigation and D.S.I. He was a member of the Southern Band of Cherokee’s.
Mr. Ring is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Davis of Fitzgerald, Candice Harper of Douglas, Kim Harper of Alapaha and Julie Harper of West Green; 5 grandchildren; mother, Odessa Ring of Fitzgerald; brothers, Rex Ring, Clifton Ring and Marvin Ring, Jr., all of Fitzgerald; sisters, Ethel Seiley of Ocilla, Evelyn Mobley and Janice Purvis both of Fitzgerald and Wendy Weathers of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers.
