Obituary

Mark E. Sambataro age 48 of Salem, NH, died Wednesday at the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA after suffering a heart attack at his home.

He was born in Lawrence, MA, grew up and was a life long resident of Salem, NH, where he graduated from Salem High School in 1978.

Mark was a 2007 retired Salem, NH Police Detective. He was on the Salem Police Force for more than 21 years. After his retirement Mark started Focal Point Investigations with some fellow police officers. Mark loved boating and fishing. He enjoyed working out and lifting weights at the gym. He loved sports, especially football, and most of all Mark enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by so many people.

Mark is survived by his Wife: Monica (Ray) Sambataro of Salem

1 Son: Pelham, NH Police Patrolman: Ryan Sambataro of Salem

1 Daughter: Hannah Sambataro of Salem

His Parents: Nunzio & Marion (Palese) Sambataro of Salem

1 Sister: Connie Stevens of Salem

2 Brothers: Paul & David Sambataro of Salem

Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins

Calling hours will be held Sunday, Aug. 3 from 4-8 PM at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Rd. Salem, NH.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, Aug. 4 at 10:30 AM at Mary Queen of Peace Church, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Mark’s name to Dollars for Scholars, PO Box 297, Salem, NH 03079
