Harrington, Louise C. (Sullivan) of Duxbury died March 7, at the Tobey Hospital in Wareham. She had been a resident of Forest View Nursing for three years where she received loving care. She was 93.
Born in South Boston where she raised her family in the Gate of Heaven Parish. Mrs. Harrington was a graduate of St. Brigids School in South Boston and a member of the last graduating class of Long Island School of Nursing in Boston. She was a pediatric registered nurse for many years at Boston City Hospital and was considered the “neighborhood nurse in South Boston. Mrs. Harrington and her husband moved to Marshfield in 1969 and were residents of Duxbury since 1983.
Widow of the late Michael D. Harrington and mother of the late Michael D. Harrington II, Louise is survived by her daughter, Michele Holton and son-in-law Attorney John Holton Jr. of New London, NH., her daughter Patricia Shellene of Danvers, MA; five grandchildren Cdr. Charles F. Giles, III (USN Ret) and his wife Kim, of New London, NH., Attorney Christopher Giles of Kiev, Ukraine, Mark Sullivan of Boston, MA., Michael Shellene of Kennebunk, Maine and Kaitlyn Harrington of Vancouver. Washington; two great grandchildren, Charles F. Giles IV and Molly C. Giles of New London, NH, a brother and sister, Francis (Skip) Sullivan and Eleanor Fennessey of South Boston, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday March 25, in Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont St, Duxbury, MA., at 10:00 am.
