A graduate of Chelsea High School Class of 1980, Mark was born in Everett and a resident of Saugus for less then a year when he passed away unexpectedly Monday morning at the age of 48. Working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents for the last 25 years, he presently held the position of Chief Investigator.
His involvement in the City of Chelsea was two-fold, as a young man he worked for Mayor Joel Pressman in the Mayors Office and later for the Building Department and was a member of the City of Chelsea Planning Board, but as we all know, his passion was hockey. Mark was the Commissioner of the Chelsea Youth Hockey, Head Coach of the Chelsea High School Hockey Team and coach for the Revere Youth Hockey. His determination, quiet presence and friendship will be sorely missed by all those who ever had the opportunity to meet him.
