Dear Susan and Connor We send our deepest sympathy. Kevin brought laughter into just saying "hello". He will be remembered fondly. We are so sorry for your loss. Love Ellen & Jimmy Wyse and Family

Kevin will be missed by students, colleagues, family and friends more than we even understand today. He was a shining light in the world that made everyone around him feel special and wonderful. His unique humor put life into perspective. In one of our last text exchanges, in reply to my hopeful message he responded that he hoped who ever found his cell phone would reap the benefit of that message. Even in the valley of the shadow of death and we will all go there, he made me smile. When he would check in he would say "Miss are you on your rock?" since I live 30 miles at sea. Well I will be off the rock for this send off to celebrate one of the greatest that ever lived. Susan and Connor he will be at your backs next week and forever. Feel his presence. In 23 years of working together I never had a conversation with Kevin that you both were not in it from beginning to end. If all the love you shared could have saved him, he would never die. Wishing you great strength and peace at this time of grief and sorrow.

Our deepest sympathies Susan and Connor. Cathy and I both met Kevin in college, climbing aboard his unique and fascinating life journey Jr and Senior year. Absolutely one in a million who I in particular was a recipient of his genuine sincere charm and kindness which he offered me years ago when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Kevin became so open and compassionate in our conversations as he checked up on me so often and then remained that way balanced with his other wacky brilliant side. Always the need to know about how my family is doing especially the g/f (geisha girl) who became my wife. Always first to ask about our two daughters and our first granddaughter arriving 4 years ago. He loved to celebrate his life and those of his friends ultimately providing me smiles in my heart not just on my face. Kevin was complex to me - a mental challenge to keep up with for sure but over the last decade, my how he gave me the warm beautiful side of him you two fell in love with. I'll always appreciate and remember him that way. Gods mercy on him and all of you. Love-Mark and Cathy Manock

You know Kevin was the kind of friend that you wouldn't see for like 5 years and then immediately you're right back connected again never missing a beat. Funny?? Forget about it!! Witty??? One of the very best!! Intelligent?? Well, two out of three ain't bad, eh Kev? No, of course we all know he was brilliant and I will miss him terribly. One of the best recent memories was our Uconn reunion at Kevin and Susan's home on the cape. We ended up calling the reunion "Cape Fear" but the laughter and friendship shared that weekend will last forever. Thank you Buddy Shea! You will never be forgotten!

Susan & Connor, I was so saddened to hear of Kevin's passing. It's always the case when the person is so full of love and life. Most people dread going to the tax man. Sort of like seeing the dentist. But I always looked forward to Kevin's annual show to regale me with humorous stories and displays of his true wit. Oh yeah, and to get his taxes done. His love and belief in both of you was always evident, and hopefully that will sustain you in these dark hours. May he rest in peace.

Dear Susan & Connor, Please accept my deepest sympathies. Kevin & I worked together at BayBanks and while we did not subsequently stay in touch, I have very fond memories of him--not only of his genius and quick Black Irish wit, but of a guy who would give you the shirt off his back and who was kind to me when I went through a difficult passage. We never lose the people we love and I am sure you will see him twinkle in the night sky. Godspeed.

Susan and Connor: My deepest condolences to you both. Although I was never fortunate enough to meet your husband/father, the tribute of his life portrayed that he was a wonderful, kind, smart and funny man! I wish that I was able to meet him and sit with him to learn from him wisdom and laugh at his jokes and wisecracks. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Kevin, I just found out this morning. Fondly remember the times that we went to sporting events in Boston and playing music a little too loud afterwards. He was such a funny person and loved by all . Whenever we got together if we would always talk about our Oakland Raiders. Rest in peace bro !

Sue I remember first meeting you with Kevin at Across From the Horse Restaurant in downtown Waterbury. I knew right away that you were two peas in a pod. From the Fulton Park day's, old Cape Cod day's at the "Nut Hut" ,the Haywood Brockett Blues Band, to Christmas parties at his parent's house he held court. He was a great friend to all of us. I wish to express my condolence's to you and Conner, keep the spirit!

Hi there, Kevin's death was recently brought to my attention. I saw Kevin last at a wedding 30 years ago. Growing up in Waterbury, Kevin was my first "BF" at age 14, meaning we spoke on the phone every night for about two weeks and I watched his band play once! Looking back, and as a mom of 3 young adults, I've always been proud that I chose such a smart, funny and kind guy first as I entered into the dating world. I am very sorry for your loss.
