The last of an unbelievable generation. And what a gentleman he was. I can still see him in his tux looking so handsome and getting ready to walk Kate down the aisle at St Margaret's and just before turning around and telling me "nothing to worry about" Or his open door where he and Winnie always welcomed you whether it was downstairs with him smoking his pipe or in the back room watching tv or at the breakfast nook or at dining room table playing cards or in the living room having a chat. I can remember him telling Mick "lay down for yourself" and the two of them teasing each other constantly He was always trying to spoil the kids.
