Obituary

Moira Jenine Vereault, 46, died on, August 2, 2012. Moira battled metastatic breast cancer for the past 8 ½ years that was originally diagnosed in 1994. Moira was predeceased by her Mother, Mary Anne (Dalton) Vereault, her Father, Donald Victor Vereault of Old Town, Maine. She was the granddaughter of James and Eva (Angevine) Dalton of Weymouth, Mass. and George Victor and Villa (Grey) Vereault of Brewer Maine.

Always so, but especially in the nearly twenty years from her original diagnosis, Moira lived a highly charged life full of adventure, activity, accomplishment and most importantly love and laughter. Moira will be very much missed and lovingly remembered by the many people she has met in her life. She was a beaming light to those that knew her; her friends, coworkers at Jewel, Price Chopper, IBM and Lenovo and especially to several lifetime friends from high school. And she was especially thankful to all the wonderful doctors and nurses that helped her battle for so long. In Moira’s words, “Experiences shared through circumstance, pain and prayer form a bond that lasts beyond a lifetime.”

A graduate of Old Town High School and DePaul University in Chicago, Moira was a very talented athlete throughout her entire life. Moira earned numerous awards and distinctions for her talents in swimming and softball including a Collegiate All America Swimming distinction. Most recently, she would play tennis with her very dear friends (and extended family) at the Weymouth tennis club and competed in the ocean swimming leg of a triathlon held last September at Nantasket Beach, MA.

Moira leaves her loving friend, Melissa Eads, of Hingham, MA. Melissa’s Mother Judy Eads of Kennesaw Georgia and Melissa’s sister Denice. Moira’s longtime companions with paws, Dublin and Sydney will miss her and her love and attention.

Moira will be very much missed by her close family; loving sister and brothers; Kara Vereault of Old Town Maine, brother Donald and wife Barbara of Bangor Maine, their daughter and Moira’s only niece, Sarah Vereault and her fianacee` Matt Dorren of Sudbury Ontario, brother Jimmie and wife Charlene Cook of Hudson, MA, brother Sean of Washington DC, and Edmund of Seattle. Moira also leaves special and loving aunts, uncles, cousins and their families.
