Obituary

Duross, William T. “Gramps” of Quincy, passed away December 29, 2011. Beloved husband of Mary (Martin) Duross of Quincy. Loving father of Thomas J. Duross of Jamaica Plain, Theresa M. Duross of Quincy and her friend Gary Shaboo, Timothy Duross and his wife Nancy Linehan Duross of South Boston, Stephen J. Duross of Quincy and Mary Beth Spano and her husband Bill of E. Bridgewater. Brother of David Duross and his wife Audrey of Stoughton and the late Mary, John Eleanora, Joseph and Charles Duross. Cherished grandfather of Patrick J. Duross, Taylor M. Duross, Martin T. Duross, Molly C. Duross and Nicholas W. Spano. Bill was also survived by many nieces and Nephews and his dog Sadie.

Bill was born in Boston and Grew up in West Roxbury. He was a graduate of Boston Technical High School and attended Ben Franklin Institute, Wentworth Institute and Boston Architectural School. Bill was a Plumbing Engineer for Sheply Bullfintch Richardson & Abbott and retired as chief engineer at B. R. + A. Consulting Engineers in Boston. He was a member of Saint Vincent DePaul and Holy Name Society, former officer of A.S.P.E. and founding member of the Gull Point Yacht Club where he served as Commodore. Bill was a sincere man who enjoyed his friends, especially his extended family of friends in Bridgton Maine where he vacationed with his wife, children and grandchildren. He treated all who knew him as family and was affectionately referred to as “Gramps”.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 3-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Quincy at 10 AM.

Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
