Juanita M. Haynes Lopes, 81, of New Bedford died November 30, 2009 at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of the late William H. Haynes and Frank A. Lopes.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John and Maria (Encarnacao) Santos, she lived in New Bedford, Connecticut, California, Las Vegas and New Orleans.
Juanita was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
She was the proprietor of the former Unique Boutique on Union St. in New Bedford.
Juanita was a founding member of Cape Verdeans of Southern California Association.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol Lee Haynes of New Orleans, Patricia Ann Haynes of Providence and Dawn Marie Haynes of Los Angeles, CA; a sister, Tanya Bargasse of New Bedford; two grandchildren, Mikele and Troy, two great-grandchildren, Treyston and Juston; many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours Saturday, December 5th from 1 - 3 PM followed by her Funeral Service at 3 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford.
