CONDOLENCES (GuestBook)

I am the youngest of his children. I want to say that I will always be proud of my dad, who shouldered his family's burdens to the end. Sometimes the stresses and setbacks in his life were unbearable, but he also enjoyed times of peace and happiness, and the love and high esteem of family, friends, associates and countless acquaintances. He took pride in his ancestors and descendants, and his research on his genealogy will be preserved for future generations, a modest contribution to humanity with immeasurable value to his kin. He was truly a worthy man. On a personal note, I will cherish our family activities such as birthdays and holidays, with close family and extended family, and with excursions as to Connecticut beaches or the Chesterfield gorge. He secured for me my first job as a gofer at Balakier's, and he drove many times six hours each way when I attended Penn State, to offer support at critical times. His stoic resolve in the face of setbacks steeled my own as I likewise faced many trials and setbacks, and inspire me in turn to pass along his wisdom to my son Andrew, his sole direct paternal line descendant.

How do you thank someone who's taken you from crayons to perfume? What can I give you in return? Pepere, you are the best. You always were proud of me. I always tried my best to impress you. I know I didn't do everything right but you never shunned me away or disowned me. I wish I had that one last day with you. I do remember you being a busy man and always in and out of the home to be a business man, but when you with family, you were a wonderful family man. Beach trips, sledding days, fishing derbys, museum trips, swimming lessons.... You had a way of making it seem easy, where as I sometimes forget to dot an "i" or cross a "t". I remember just 6 months ago you talking about dying and I started crying and you scolded me that I'm not allowed to. Well, you get all these tears now. Pepere, I feel empty and lost. Can you send me some signs or visit my dream and let me know you're ok with my Mom, your brothers, and other family and friends? I love you. Brianna and Michael do also. My heart is dead. I just love you.
