I was so sorry to hear of Dick's passing. I have so many good memories of time spent with him and Joyce -- attending concerts or musicals, watching science fiction movies, drinking wine over dinner, playing with their cats. He was one of the most intelligent and kind people I know.

I met Dr. Stark at Kadlec several months ago. We spoke of honeybees, and he offered his knowledge regarding their changing population patterns in North America. His love of science and his thoughtfulness really shone through, and has remained in my mind. My most heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
