Edith Carole Strickland Sheffield, age 49, of Broxton, GA passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013. Mrs. Sheffield was born on November 8, 1963, in Brunswick, GA to Marshall and Vera Strickland.
Survivors include: her husband: Larue Sheffield, of Broxton, GA, son: Rev. Christopher “Chris” (Courtney)Sheffield, of Orlando, FL, granddaughter: Everly Sheffield, of Orlando, FL, parents: Rev. Marshall and Vera Strickland, of Nahunta, GA, brother: Barry (Lou) Strickland, of Thomasville, GA, two nieces: Leigh Anne Strickland, of Charleston, W. VA, Lauren Strickland, of Nashville, TN, nephew: Joseph Strickland, of Sarasota, FL, mother-in-law: Faye Sheffield, of Broxton, GA, sister-in-law: Dawn (Keith) Wright, of Broxton, GA, nephew: Kade Wright, several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24 from 6-9 pm at Covenant Christian Church.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Covenant Christian Church with Rev. Freddy Gardner, Rev. Dale Walters, and Rev. Chris Sheffield officiating. Interment followed at Rocky Pond Church Cemetery.
