Wayland, MA,

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of our family at this time. We will miss Pete and all that he gave to us during his time here. I remember he would always walk into a room with that certain smile and you knew he'd have something funny to say. He made us all laugh. Kevin remembers when he submitted to the local newspaper the picture of himself on the bike that he had turned into the snowplow. Leave it to Peter to humor us all. And he had this sweet demeanor about him too. We will really miss him. God be with all of you and grant you much strength and peace. Jaye, you are in our thoughts. With much love, Pam, Kevin, Ainsley, Kathryn, and Jess Washek

My sincerest sympathies to Jaye, Christian, Heidi and the entire Regan family for your loss. Pete played in my hockey programs, and I would always enjoy seeing his huge smile when he was playing. He so loved the game and the game will miss him. He had the incredible ability to make the whistle sound, yet he had no whistle. We would laugh and joke on the bench between our shifts on the ice, and we had so much fun while on the ice as well. His sense of humor and ability to laugh made him a fun person to know and be around. No words can assuage the pain of loss. I would never attempt to beguile you with words. However, I will say this: The memories of Pete can only help you endeavor onwards in your lives and as long as you keep those memories, then Pete lives on with you. I can only hope that Pete is at peace. I will miss seeing him on the ice. I will also miss that huge smile. Again, my sincerest condolences. Ronald Wright

I’ve known Pete since 7th grade and was fortunate to catch up with Pete and meet his wife and children recently while we were both headed out of Plymouth for Whale Watching and Deep Sea Fishing. I was instantly transformed to those youthful days of bike riding and admiring anything with horsepower. Pete’s constant grin, zest for life and that twinkle that made you think he just might know the secrete to life was still with him after not seeing each other for so many years. This truly was a tragic accident and all who knew Pete have suffered a loss but are thankful for having the opportunity to have known him in some way. My condolences to his family, my prayers and thoughts are with them this day.
