My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. I was very sad to hear about jack's pasing but the memories of our trips to Maine and squam lake will remain with me forever. I still remember fishing on the boat and everytime my father or I dropped our rods in the water, jack would roll his eyes at us, laugh and dive in and get them! To all Jack's family, I cannot tell you how shocked and saddened I was to hear that he had died. I grew up with Jack and Terry, my brother spent so much time with him, I'm sure Terry is beyond shock himself. I left Cochituate in 1977, but I'm back up there many times a year and go back to the old neighborhood. So many memories are there. Jack, my dear old friend, you are going to be so missed by all of us. Dearest Family of Jack Balben, I am so distressed to see that my cousin Jack passed away this month. I was online to see if anything had been posted about my mother and brother, Marion Caroline Balben and Edward Hugh Balben. They were both killed in Casper, Wyoming on September 13, 2009, when the house caught on fire. Mom got out after calling 911, but Eddie did not get out of the house. Mom died en route to the hospital and dental records were needed to identify Eddie. I am woefully sorrow to hear about Jack. Jack and my father, Edward Chester Balben, were brothers.
