Kathi, Nick, Laura, and Jenny, I have been thinking of you often this week. I know it’s been shockingly sudden and terrible for all of you. George was a bright light in all my visits with your family and I will miss his humor and openness. Love and peace to all of you through this difficult time. Pam

I am very sadden to hear this news and wish the family my sincere condolences. I know George as a colleague at MassArt and although I did not work directly with him, I did find his presence and commitment to the college very inspiring, especially during my early years at the college. In addition to our work interactions, it was a treat to cycle by his house, to find him busy in the garden, to say a quick 'hello' on the way to Walden Pond/ Concord center. He had a subtle yet memorable impact and will be missed. Judith Anderson, MassArt/ ID Department.

My deepest condolences to all whom knew and loved George. He was truly such a kind person. Year after year he gave his all for the students here at MassArt. George did all he could to continually improve the Graduate Program so to make meaningful students creative growth while they were here with us at MassArt and beyond. He is greatly missed.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I received an email from Sharon Dunn. George brought me into the low res MFA program. Through it all, he was kind yet challenging creatively, and constantly an inspiration. He got me to go further than I had ever before and he taught me things I hadn't learned. But above all, George was a kind man. One of the kindest, nicest people I have met. And so talented on top of it all. George was an inspiration and a mentor. And I will miss him. My heart goes out to you, his family. Bless George and Bless you all. Dick Lynn MFA/MassArt 2016
