Please accept my deepest condolences at this very difficult time . I am so sorry to hear the passing of my friend General Grant Murphy. Our friendship went back over sixty years to the days of Holden's magic shop.. He was a wonderful, kind and talented man. He was one of the stars of my annual magic show many times. The world of magic has lost a legend.. Rest in peace my friend.

My sincere condolences to the family. I knew "Gen Grant" when I was a child. He was a dear friend to my mom and dad, Bob & Betty Porter, in the magic world. When I think of him, the first thing I think of is white doves. I enjoyed his magic and his wonderful personality. He seemed to like everyone and vice-versa. God bless you all. I have known Gen for over 50 years. We traveled to conventions together and lectured and performed on the same stages. Gen was the Ultimate performer, smooth, and polished. His love for his doves showed in his handling when performing and traveling with them. My family will miss his visits, & I will very much miss my friend who called me Jr, and I called him Pop. I only knew Janice and Leo, but my heart goes out to all of his children and grandchildren at this time of loss. Rest in Peace and relax Pop, you can now perform on the ultimate stage up there, just make sure to iron your silks (inside joke) With much Love and Respect. Jr.
