What an impressive biography given in the obituary! But to me, "Mr. Marple" was always that warm and wonderful friend of my parents, whose house in New Hampshire was straight out of children's adventure stories, and whose visits to our house with Betty Lou ("Mrs. Marple") were always a delight.
