To the entire Baston family. I was so sorry to read in today's Boston Globe of Woody's passing. Like Woody, I also grew up in Marblehead but more significantly we were classmates for four years at New Hampton and graduated together in 1964. Woody was a spearhead behind our 50th reunion three years ago and he will be missed. Please accept my sympathies.

Although I have never met Mr. Baston I have always felt like I knew him. I have owned many Sebastian’s over the years, some his Dad’s and many signed by “Woody”. That was also one of my nicknames in school. Each one has a special meaning and I treasure them all. I am so sorry to read of his death and would like to send my sympathies to his family. He must have been a very special man and I know. because of his talent, he made many people smile. Thank you, Woody, from the bottom of my heart. Sincerely, Donna Wallace

Dear Marge, How surprised and saddened I was to read of Woody's passing. He was a true gentleman and always had 'friendly hello to offer when we met around town. I know how difficult these times are, so I wish you some comfort from your family and friends. Sincerely, Kathy Czerapowicz

Woody and I went to Story School together for 7 years and spent many hours together in our youth. I still have stiches in my head from running into his teeth in the 6th grade as he was already a foot taller than me. We use to go to his dads studio all the time and watch as things got made. We played baseball and football at Green Street Play ground many days after school. My sympathy to the family an old childhood friend. Scott Dittrich
