Tom was a devoted husband and wonderful father. He never missed an opportunity to say something nice about his kids. He remains an inspiration to me as a husband, a father and a man. I will certainly miss him. My thoughts are with you Maureen, my good friend Sheila and your entire family. I offer my condolences and whatever help I can give you.

Capt. O'Hara was my reserve CO at Group Woods Hole that was physically located in New Bedford, MA. He was a one of a kind Commanding Officer who was a big influence in my decision to return to the active duty Coast Guard and finish my career as a Command Master Chief serving 30 active duty years. The world has lost a true leader and patriot. My condolences to his family upon his passing.
