Yulee, FL – Gordon L Young 76, died Wednesday June 26th at Baptist Hospital Jacksonville, FL. He was proceeded in death by his wife and best friend of more than 50 years Mary Kay and his Parents Homer and Thelma Young, Sister Thelma Kuruzar, Brother Ralph Nockles, In-Laws William and Rosemary McGrogan, Brother-In-Law John McGrogan, Sister-In-Law JoAnn Rist.
He is survived by his Daughter Kelly Conner of Yulee, FL her Son Steven Gargis and his Wife April and their Son Thomas of Niles, MI; Son Jeff Young and his Wife Julie of St. Augustine, FL. Daughter Cathy Lenoir and her Husband Fred and their Son Justin of Jacksonville and Daughter Courtney of Naperville, IL. He is also survived by his Brother Roger Young and wife Gail of South Bend, IN; Brother-In-Law Bill McGrogan and wife Arlene of Chesterton, IN; Sister-In-Law Donna Golmer and Husband Peter of Fischer, IN; along with several Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
He was a 4th Degree Knight and a member of St. Michaels in Fernandina, FL.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Michaels in Fernandina, FL on July 13th at 11:00 a.m. with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. prior to the mass. In Lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for a memorial for Gordon and Mary Kay Young.
