So sorry to hear of your loss. We can still remember his sense of humor while we watched the boys play ball. He made many a long afternoon quite pleasant. May you find comfort in your wonderful memories. Fondly, The Lackey Family

My thoughts and prayers are with you and I am very sorry for your loss. I will miss Ian greatly. He brightened my days with wit, charm, and humor. Every day at lunchtime I would hear laughter coming from the Lab conference room. It brought a smile to my face and couldn't help wonder, what was so funny? Ian was selfless and always caring, asking me how I was doing. He taught me not take things in life too seriously and I will honor him by remembering this valuable lesson.

To the family, I was so sorry to hear of Ian's passing. He was such a great guy, just a special person. He was very helpful to me from a business standpoint, always providing wise counsel. But the beauty was in the delivery. His sense of humor and his way of presenting his ideas and opinions was always something I looked forward to. His smile and laugh were contagious and meeting with him was always special for me. My best to the family.

Mary and Family, I just learned of Ian's passing and was deeply saddened by the news of my mentor in the professional world. Ian helped give me the guidance I needed to become who I am today. His humor, intellect and heart made my 1st job out of college a great experience. I think of him often and my heart felt condolences go out to you and your boys. To Ian's Family, Mine is a name you will not know. I went to St. Nicholas School for 3 years 1964-66 and Ian & I were in Kings house. He was always extreemly good at sports as well as his studies. I left in 1966, partly because of some antisemitism, but looking back, also because of poor studying results. In all that time, Ian was one of the only boys I could call a friend. Always quietly spoken & very modest, we often travelled on the Metropolitan line to school together & he came to my house once or twice. I only have the fondest memories of him and know you will always look back on your time with him with love & pride. So sorry that this has been posted so late, but I suddenly thought "I wonder how that nice guy Ian Summerhayes is doing?" and was so shocked to read of his passing. My thoughts are with you.
