We are so sad to learn of Mike's passing. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. Mike was a great guy and a wonderful friend to so many municipal lawyers and government officials. I I have such great memories of driving out to municipal association meetings with him, and of course his helping us at the MMA Annual meeting. He was so generous with his time and advice on municipal matters. Mike will be missed. May his memory be a blessing for his family and friends.

The Massachusetts Municipal Lawyers Association, formerly the City Solicitors and Town Counsel Association, acknowledges with great sorrow the passing of our past president, mentor, government structure/charter authority and most important, a great friend. Mike was dedicated to the law and in particular local government law. He participated frequently in our programs and was a sought after speaker and expert on charters and local government structure. He wrote and advised on countless local charters. Mike was also a prolific author on government structure and was the chapter author on that subject in the MMLA-MCLE Massachusetts Municipal Law Manual. Mike was called "Mr. Home Rule" and was a leader in the field. Mike always made himself available to local government lawyers and officials and was very generous in sharing his expertise. A true friend to all and a man who will be missed. We extend to his family the Association's most sincere condolences.
