Herb and I grew up together on Marion St. Medford,MaWe shared our love of music with other children from that area and all of us went on to college pursuing a music degree. Herb was my best friend during those early days. He was a very hard worker, very sincere person and a most valued friend. We are all saddened by his passing. Give our love to his family. We are not able to physically attend his funeral, but will be there in spirit.511

My sincere condolences on Herb's passing. He was a good friend, as a classmate at Boston University, and a colleague in music education in Massachusetts for many years. Having lived in Arizona in retirement, I have not had contact with Herb for some time, but knew him as an accomplished musician and a true gentleman.

I have just learned of your Father's and also of your mother's passing. We were members of the "Pass in Revue" troop that in 1955 & 1956 entertained "the troops" in Germany etc. I witness the growing love of your parents at the time. Such memories. Altho I have not seen them for many years, I have often remembered them and experiences we shared I extend my sincere sympathy June Di Troia Alfano
