Ms. Khoury was my English teacher at Belmont High during my junior year (1989-1990) - twenty-five years ago. I have very, very fond memories of her kindness and her wit - I bet she was a wonderful grandma. I send all in her family my condolences. Mike Hughes

Mrs. Khoury was my English teacher at Belmont High School in 1964...she taught literature and creative writing...she was wise, gentle, and thoughtful. She brought the musical 'The Fantasticks' to our class and supported the connection between all forms of art and creativity. I remember her with warmth and gratitude and I am sorry to read of her passing. I extend my sympathy to her family. Please know that she is remembered with fondness and respect.

Mrs. Khoury was my 11th-grade English teacher at Belmont High School, and I both remember her vividly and credit her for making me a better writer, editor, and thinker. She was one of those truly excellent teachers that kids are fortunate to have from time to time, and she helped to shape me for the good. My sympathies for all of you, and sorrow for your loss. warmly, Kate Fichter

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Mrs. Khoury. She was a huge inspiration to me. I had her as my junior year high school English teacher. To this day, I credit her for my ability to write well. She challenged me more than any other teacher I had - more than anyone in college or graduate school. She told me numerous times that I was capable of writing an A paper, and then made me write and rewrite my papers until I earned that special grade. She made me work incredibly hard, to the point of tears at times. But she truly taught me, one paper at a time, what it meant to write and think well. I am eternally thankful. My condolences to her family. She will be greatly missed but forever remembered by me and many other of her students.
