On behalf of the New England Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, I extend my condolences to the Dorian family. Marty was a long-time member of the Chapter and very active on its Executive Board. Most important, Marty worked on the Chapter's A. L. Brown Scholarship Fund, helping to develop operating and investment guidelines to ensure the growth of the Fund. He also provided guidance to the the Chapter on support of state level initiatives to ensure the fire safety of housing for the elderly. Truly a loss to our engineering community.

I am very heart broken to hear of the passing away of my close friend Marty whom we worked to-gether many years at INA. He never bought me that last lunch he always promised.
