Ronald Edwin Monks, 77, of Louisville passed away Friday, June 8, 2018. He was born to the late Arthur G. & Mary Hessie (Langley) Monks.
Ronnie had retired from Navistar/ International. He was a founding member of Midniters, officiated for KBOA for 25 years, Manual (61). He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and U.S. Army Reserves.
Ronnie is now reunited with his cherished wife of 49 years, Shirley Ann (Hanke) Monks; brother Donald Monks; sister Carolyn “Sissy” Prewitt.
Left to honor his memory are two sons, Brandy (Tracy), Toby (Anita); six grandchildren, Conner, Shelby, Emma, Brady, Jay & Kelsey; brother Gleason (Donna); sister-in-law, Pat Monks.
Ronnie and Shirley were blessed with a loving family and were surrounded by an amazing “family of friends” who share a lifetime of memories. They loved and cherished each one of you.
A funeral Mass will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church 6901 Dixie Hwy with burial in St Andrew Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy.
