MARTIN, Rita M. (Lichtefeld), 89, of Louisville, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Church, past president of the St. Paul’s Women’s Club, and had volunteered with Southwest Community Ministries as well as Meals on Wheels. She also had a passion for gardening and enjoyed spending time tending to her flowers.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Martin.
She is survived by her children, William J. Martin (Patty), Stephen F. Martin, Timothy J. Martin (Cindy), Mary A. Ingram (Jeff), Judith Hicks, Fred T. Martin, Eileen Martin (Dale Lockard), and John D. Martin (Jennifer); 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and sisters, Carolyn Lichtefeld and Margaret Brohm (Bob).
Visitation will be Monday 2pm-8pm at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Funeral Mass will be 10am Tuesday at St. Paul’s Church, 6901 Dixie Highway, with burial to follow at St. Andrews Cemetery.
