Mary Olivia (Alvey) Hazelwood, 95, of Louisville passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side Sunday, May 13, 2018.
Mary was a native of Grayson County, Ky and was lovingly known to everyone as "Granny". Granny's door was always open to everyone; when you entered her home you were treated as family with her first instinct being to want to cook you a meal. She loved to play bingo.
Waiting for her at the gates of Heaven was her husband of 44 years, James Eugene Hazelwood; her son, Danny Hazelwood; her daughter, Faye Twyman and Fred Cote.
Left to cherish her memories are her four children, Joyce M. Thompson, Glen Hazelwood, Marlene Roth and Beverly Neuwirth (Chris) and daughter-in-law, Jo Hazelwood; twelve grandchildren, Kelsey, Avery, Cindi, Sheila, Missy, Erica, Steven, Britnee, Jessie, Suzie, Robbie and Lee; ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West.
Visitation will be 10:00 A.M.- 8:00 P.M Friday and after 9:00A.M. Saturday.
