Doris B. (Sharp) Cook, 75, passed away March 7,2018.
She was a member of the former Valley Station Baptist Church and a retired school bus driver for the Jefferson County Public School System.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents Irene and Chester Sharp; two sisters Joan Guenther and LaVerne Stephens.
Survived by her daughter Debbie Lankford (Dennis)and son Tom Cook Jr.; sister Ilean Sharp; two grandchildren Alee Osborne (Corey) and Cody Lankford (Cara); and best friend Patsy Padgett.
She had a love for animals and rescued too many to count in her life time. She loved flowers, cross stitch and crafts but the most precious memory is the Barbie clothes that she would make Debbie as a child.
She was her grandkids biggest fan as she missed nothing when it came to them. The love she had for her entire family will never be forgotten.
Funeral service will be Monday at Noon at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with cremation to follow.
Visitation will be Sunday at 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
