Earl "Smitty" McKinley Smith, 46 of Louisville entered into eternal rest on March 6,2018. He is preceded in death by his daughter Amber, father Johnny, grandparents and cousins.
Survivors include daughters Tiffany & Brittany, mother Patsy, sisters Cindy Miller (Chris), Annie O’Banion (Tim), and nephews John, Brayden, Trevor, Christian, Steven, and a host of loving family and friends.
Earl was a U.S Marine, as well as a former forklift lead at Vitran warehouse. He was also the 1989 KY state wrestling champion and a Western Warrior Alumni.
He loved fishing even if he never caught anything but stories, a diehard Wildcat and Reds fan, he loved to coach wrestling to younger family and friends. But most of all he loved spending time with his girls, ballgames, and zoo trips, they were what he lived for. Thanks to the V.A. Medical center and devoted staff for their ongoing dedication, love and care.
Funeral service will be Saturday at Noon at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens (West).
Visitation will be Friday at 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. and after 9 A.M. on Saturday.
