Obituary


Paul R. MacDonald, Sr. of Norwood and Largo FL, lost his battle with Alzheimer’s disease on October 11, 2017 at the age of 76 years old. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family. He was the devoted husband of 52 years of Diane M. MacDonald (Bohane) of Norwood. Loving father of Denise B. Nado and her husband Frank, Paul R. MacDonald, Jr. and his wife Christie, Janet L. MacDonald, Michael J. MacDonald, and Laura P. Aldrich and her husband Sean. Loving brother of Marie Walsh and her husband Jack and Donald MacDonald. Proud grandfather of Colin and Kayleigh MacDonald, Kerry and Emily Nado, and Avery and Abigail Aldrich. Paul is also survived by cherished extended family members, and many nieces and nephews. Paul was born in Boston and raised in Jamaica Plain. He graduated from Boston English High School and Newbury Junior College. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion. He retired from the telephone company after a successful career of 38 years. Paul was an avid Patriots fan, and he also enjoyed time spent with his family, boating, fishing, and winters in Florida. Visiting hours at the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman St., Canton on Tuesday, October 17 from 10-11 a.m. with a service immediately following. Burial at Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
