Obituary

Hugh A. Carney died October 31, 2012 following a brief illness. He was 82.

Born in Boston, he was raised in Dorchester. Hugh was the former President of Thypin Steel of New England located in Wilmington. He was the founder of Titanium Service Center of New England in Canton. Prior to retiring, he was a salesman for Maclean Steel in Quincy. He also worked for Industrial Stainless Steel in Cambridge and at the Codman Square Theatre in Dorchester.

Devoted husband to the late Mary P. (McLaughlin) Carney. Loving father of Hugh A. Carney Jr. of Canton, Brian J. Carney and his wife Anne of Kingston, Maureen B. Hampe and her husband Stephen of Easton, Colleen P. Piscitello and her husband Michael of Norwood, and the late Cecelia M. Carney. Brother of Russell Carney of Quincy. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday November 5, 2012, in St. John the Evangelist Church Washington St., Canton at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday from 2-6 PM in the Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St. Canton, MA 02021.
