Mr. Joseph Gentile, 59, beloved husband of Donna Moccio Gentile, entered into rest on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 31, 2018 at The Sanctuary Church with the Rev. Ricky Coule officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Joe was a native of Brooklyn, New York but had lived in the Augusta area for 33 years. He was the founder and past owner of Giuseppe’s Pizza and Italian Specialties, and he attended The Sanctuary Church.
In addition to his wife, Donna, he is survived by his son, Nick Gentile (Ally), his daughters; Joanna and Maria Gentile, his grandchildren; Elaina and Joseph Gentile, his brother, Frank Gentile (Donna), his sisters; Rosa Buttaro (Giuseppe) and Mary Santoro, as well as his mother in law, Phyllis Moccio. He was preceded in death by his parents; Luca and Anna Gentile.
The family will receive friends at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel on Thursday evening, August 30, 2018 from 2-4:00 P.M. and 6-9:00 P.M.
