Augusta, GA – Mrs. Carrie Brookins Manders, 75, beloved wife of Mr. Raymond E. Manders, Sr., entered into rest on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Trinity Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Prosser officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Manders was a homemaker and a 40 year charter member of Providence Baptist Church. She loved her church and spending time with her family, gathering together and preparing Sunday dinners. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Manders is survived by her sons, Raymond E. Manders, Jr. (Jackie), and Randy E. Manders (Kim); his daughter, Robin E. Grates (James); her eight grandchildren, Troy Manders (Mandy), Travis Manders (Pam), James Grates (Rebecca), Stephanie Strickland (Nathan), Ashley Grates, Carrie Manders, Jeremy Clements, and Kaitlin Clements; and by her five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Troy Manders, Travis Manders, James Grates III, Jeremy Clements, Donald Waters and Joseph Cioffi.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, December 21, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
